Collection of published articles re production of china and porcelain in South Carolina; including specific articles spotlighting limited edition pieces, such as china patterns honoring Charleston's Washington Light Infantry, 1875, or depicting the Charleston Exchange, or elsewhere; includes essay re Richard Champion, Quaker, ceramist, and planter of Kershaw County, S.C., who immigrated to South Carolina in 1784 from Bristol, England. Also including clippings re use of kaolin clay and other raw materials from South Carolina in production of bricks, tiles, and Wedgwood china; and Meriwether's correspondence, 1 June 1959, with T. Lyth, curator of Wedgwood Museum, Barlaston, Stonke-on-Trent, England, re her request for microfilm copy of "the Griffiths diary."
